Q: Can I transfer my membership? A: No, membership belongs to the individual regardless of who pays for the membership.

Q: Is the Telecommunication Journal of Australia included in my membership? A: Yes, the quarterly issue of TJA is sent to all members.

Q: Who can attend the TSA meetings? A: All TSA events are open to any interested persons; however non-members may be required to pay to attend various activities.

Q: Can I bring guests to TSA Functions? A: Yes. However guests would pay non-member rates.

Q: How can I pay my fees? A: You can join or renew by phone, facsimile or email, or by post to GPO Box 4050MM, Melbourne, Victoria, 3001.

Q: What is the term of my membership? A: Membership runs for 12 months from the month of joining.

Q: What is a Corporate Member? A: Corporate Membership is a group membership for 5 persons or more. A person is nominated as the corporate nominee who receives the renewal notice and is entitled to vote. The remaining four people are Associate Members who cannot vote, but receive all other member benefits.
 Q: What grades of membership are there?
- Ordinary Member who receives all membership benefits and can vote. Also guarantees the debts of the Society to a maximum of $1 in the event the Society liquidates.
- Student Member all membership benefits but cannot vote.
- Retired Member, all membership benefits but cannot vote.
- Senior Member - the same membership rights and responsibilities as ordinary members. Admission to this grade dependent upon experience and achievements. Contact National Office for details.

Q: Can I use the Society's mailing list? A: Our member's addresses and details are confidential and cannot be used by any other group or person. For events or notices deemed to be of interest to our membership the TSA will consider a mail out or an inclusion of information in the TJA.

Q: Can we email TSA Members? A: No: Our members email addresses are confidential.

Q: What is the Historical Society? A: The NSW Branch of the TSA has an Historical Society which is dedicated to the preservation of the historical artefacts and heritage items in the telecommunications museum located in the Old Post Office/Exchange in Ashfield.

Q: Can I attend events organised by other societies? A: Yes, the TSA has co-operative agreements with other societies such as ATUG, IEAust, IEE, IEEE, ITEE either directly or through co-operative arrangements such as EEEVic. Members are advised by email of these events.

Q: Can I get back copies of papers and journals? A: Yes the Society keeps copies of all publications; these are available at cost to members, where available.

Q: Is my membership tax deductible? A: In most cases membership is tax deductible. Please check with your accountant.
